FFRP developed to replace conventional alloy steel, lined and plastic construction pumps.FRP pumps can be supplied with mechanical seals of standard available makes for specific applications involving hazardous or expensive liquids, or liquids where the necessary leakage from the stuffing box is objectionable. The pump with mechanical seal could have one composite FRP Moulding consisting of Impeller, Impeller nut and Shaft sleeve. Since this assembly threaded on the shaft, the prevention of reverse rotation must be taken care of.
